How to Make Aloo Gobhi Sabji – A North Indian Delight

Aloo Gobhi Sabji is one of the most popular and easy-to-make dishes in North Indian cuisine. It is a vegetarian dish that consists of potatoes and cauliflower cooked with aromatic spices. It is a perfect accompaniment for roti, paratha or rice. In this blog post, we will show you how to make Aloo Gobhi Sabji.

For this recipe, we have used Cee Pee Kitchen King Masala, which is a versatile spice blend that can be used for various dishes like curries, biryanis, pulao, etc. It adds a rich and royal taste to the Aloo Gobhi Sabji.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium cauliflower, separated into small florets
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cee Pee Kitchen King Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, green chillies and asafoetida. Saute for a few seconds until the cumin seeds splutter.
  2. Add the potatoes and cauliflower and toss well. Sprinkle some water and cover the skillet with a lid. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes and cauliflower are soft and cooked. .
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, Cee Pee Kitchen King Masala and salt. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes, until the spices are well incorporated with the vegetables. .
  4. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, paratha or rice. .

Tips

  • You can also add some green peas, carrots or beans to this dish for more nutrition and colour.
  • You can adjust the spiciness of this dish by adding more or less green chillies according to your preference. .
  • You can also try Cee Pee Garam Masala instead of Cee Pee Kitchen King Masala for a different flavour. .
