How to Make Aloo Gobhi Sabji – A North Indian Delight

Aloo Gobhi Sabji is one of the most popular and easy-to-make dishes in North Indian cuisine. It is a vegetarian dish that consists of potatoes and cauliflower cooked with aromatic spices. It is a perfect accompaniment for roti, paratha or rice. In this blog post, we will show you how to make Aloo Gobhi Sabji.

Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 medium cauliflower, separated into small florets
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 green chillies, slit lengthwise
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp Cee Pee Kitchen King Masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Method
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, green chillies and asafoetida. Saute for a few seconds until the cumin seeds splutter.
- Add the potatoes and cauliflower and toss well. Sprinkle some water and cover the skillet with a lid. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes and cauliflower are soft and cooked. .
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, Cee Pee Kitchen King Masala and salt. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes, until the spices are well incorporated with the vegetables. .
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, paratha or rice. .
Tips
- You can also add some green peas, carrots or beans to this dish for more nutrition and colour.
- You can adjust the spiciness of this dish by adding more or less green chillies according to your preference. .
- You can also try Cee Pee Garam Masala instead of Cee Pee Kitchen King Masala for a different flavour. .
